10. Top and side circles
A basic foot massage method is to circle your feet from top to bottom. To apply it:
- the foot should be supported from underneath with both hands
- make circles with the fingers extended around either side of the ankle
- move the fingers around the side of the foot in a continuous circle
- continue circling the fingers and go all the way to the toes
- observe the distance between each tendon
11. Toe massage
The stress and cramping in the toes may be relieved with toe massage. To apply this method of foot massage:
- firmly grasp the foot’s arch with one hand
- gently pull, twist, and drag each toe with the fingers of the opposite hand
- from the outside to the inside of the toes
- repeat several times
- massage each toe individually
12. Finishing strokes
Finishing motions can be used to complete a foot massage. To apply this method:
- the palms should be put on either side of the foot
- gently press the left foot back while pulling the right foot forward
- then move the right foot forward while moving the left foot back
- continue doing this twisting action while moving your hands from your ankle to your toes
- each time, ease the pressure while eventually removing the hands entirely from the foot
