Top Fastest Electric Scooters in the World

Top Fastest Electric Scooters in the World

We are in a historical period when much of the globe has unrestricted access to extremely fast electric scooters. Newer, faster, and more radical scooters come into reach of scooter-loving mortals like us every month. It’s possible that this period of time will go by virtually as rapidly as the scooters. Therefore, it could be wise to pick one quickly if you must.

The Top 10 Fastest Electric Scooters in the World have been produced to aid you in identifying the fastest of the fast (while they last).

We’ve rated the top 10 based on top speed, and where data is available, we’ve also included statistics for standing 1/16th mile, 99 m, and 0 to 48 km/h times.

Rankings have traditionally been decided by top speed. You must be the fastest, not necessarily the fastest, if you want to win the heavyweight title. As long as you don’t run out of runway, peak speed is mostly a measurement of power vs wind resistance, therefore bigger vehicles may get away with it and still do well in this area.

Like the 14 mile time is for muscle cars, we regard the 1/16th mile (99 m) time test as the gold standard for evaluating the acceleration capabilities of electric scooters. In addition to being significant for city riding, 99 m is the distance at which the majority of electric scooter acceleration curves level out. When you take into account the necessity for some space to slow down before the next light, 99 m is a wonderful fit. A typical city block is 120 m long.

The scooter requires a combination of low-end acceleration and a good peak speed to fare well in this test. The distance is neither so great that only scooters with the highest peak speeds benefit from it, nor is it short enough to exclusively benefit those with the best acceleration.

The list only contains scooters whose 1/16th mile timings have been recorded on the ESG test track.

The majority of motorcyclists spend most of their time between 0 and 48 km/h, even if they don’t spend much time at peak speed. When it comes to blending with traffic, a scooter with a swift 0 to 48 km/h speed makes life simple, whether pushing out into traffic or merging left into a left-hand turn lane. These are the top 10 scooters in this category.

Fastest Electric Scooters Leaderboard

Minimotors Dualtron Thunder

$3,499

Top Speed: 80.5 kmh | 1/16th mile: 8.9 s | 0 – 30 mph: 5.0 s

#10 Minimotors Dualtron Thunder

The Thunder, one of the original “World’s Fastest Scooters,” maintains its position at number 10. Its smooth and quick style, large grippy deck, and top-ranked status as the “best scooter to own” in the world according to the 2020 ESG scooter poll make it a superb scooter for long, swift journeys.

Minimotors Dualtron Storm

$4,490

Top Speed: 83.1 kmh | 1/16th mile: 8.9 s | 0 – 30 mph: 4.9 s

#9 Dualtron Storm

The enormous 6640 watt motors within the Dualtron Storm get so much power that we actually had to dial it down to achieve the optimum acceleration.

The strong styling of the Minimotors Dualtron Storm complements its forceful throttle response and sporty stiff suspension. The Storm attracts attention at any speed with its loud engines and angular form covered in swag lights all the way down into the swingarms.

Additionally, it has the biggest scooter battery in the world—a 14 kg, 2268 wh battery. If you have a spare, you can go 138 km (86 road-shattering miles) without needing to plug in.

Turbowheel Phaeton

$3,590

Top Speed: 87 kmh | 1/16th mile: N/A | 0 – 30 mph: N/A

#8 TurboWheel Phaeton

The Phaeton is eWheels’ take on the Zero 11X and the Apollo Ultra, which is no longer produced. After the Dualtron X2, it is the second-heaviest scooter on the list with a weight of 59 kg.

NOTE: Several third-party sources claim that the peak speed is 87 km/h.

WEPED SS

Top Speed: 90 kmh | 1/16th mile: N/A | 0 – 30 mph: N/A

#7 WEPED SS

The Weped SS is a unicorn, not just because rainbow-colored lights occasionally blanket it, but also because it’s quite improbable that you’ll ever get to see one in person. Even more difficult to come by than the scooters themselves are peak speed measurements for unmodified Wepeds, yet according to two sources, the highest speed of the standard SS is 90 km/h. Although the Weped is an outlier, slipping into our Top 10 without any GPS data, it is just too well-known for its speed to be left off of our list.

If you own an unmodified Weped and have speed statistics, kindly send it to us or stop by our shop so that your scooter can be added to our list of the quickest in the world.

Minimotors Dualtron Thunder II

$4,299

Top Speed: 93.9 kmh | 1/16th mile: 8.5 s | 0 – 30 mph: 1st Place (4.4 s)

#6 Dualtron Thunder II

One of the quickest and most potent 60V scooters ever produced, the Dualtron Thunder, was given a massive 72V battery, a smooth double-click throttle, and had its max output power quadrupled by Minimotors.

They thankfully also gave it the biggest battery we’ve ever seen. So you don’t have to be concerned about the battery gauge and may ride it as hard as your sanity, safety, and local legal enforcement will allow. Additionally, you won’t have to worry about flat tires because the new flat-proof tires (which we tested and found to function) already come with them.

One of the few scooters that will travel farther and faster than we want to go is this one.

NAMI Burn-E

$4,149

Top Speed: 94.7 kmh | 1/16th mile: 7.9 s | 0 – 30 mph: 1st Place (3.7 s)

#5 NAMI Burn-E (Viper)

One of the best and fastest scooters we’ve ever tried. In our database, we measure 16 performance parameters, and the BURN-E smashed 13 of them.

Thankfully, it also boasts the best throttle response out of all the scooters we tried, enabling us to easily ride at 8 km/h or 81 km/h without switching riding modes.

Surprisingly, not only is it the fastest scooter we’ve tested, but it also boasts one of the longest ranges at 85.8 kilometers.

Kaabo Wolf King

$2,999

Top Speed: 95.6 kmh | 1/16th mile: 8.8 s | 0 – 30 mph: 4th Place (4.9 s)

#4 Kaabo Wolf King

The frame and forks of the 72V Wolf King are made of gold, and it resembles a 60V Wolf Warrior perfectly. However, the distinction is noticeable the moment you press the accelerator (and a little startling).

Kaabo’s Wolf King is a scooter that demands your whole focus when it is operating at peak performance.

You receive the fastest electric scooter in the globe in terms of speed to money in exchange for your careful riding.

Minimotors Dualtron X II

$6,290

Top Speed: 97 kmh | 1/16th mile: N/A | 0 – 30 mph: N/A

#3 Minimotors Dualtron X2

The 60V Dualtron X was dubbed “the largest badass scooter on the globe” when we tested it in 2019.

Thankfully, Minimotors realized that too much was still insufficient and created the utterly insane follow-up, the 72V Dualtron X2. The king of the Dualtrons is easy to identify because to his chessboard-shaped deck and enormous 33 centimeter tires.

NOTE: Raptor TV Electric Scooters provided the top speed data-point.

Kaabo Wolf King GT

$3,595

Top Speed: 98.2 kmh | 1/16th mile: 8.0 s | 0 – 30 mph: 1st Place (3.8 s)

#2 Kaabo Wolf King GT

The Wolf King GT is a distinctive improvement from what we’re used to.

Although the GT has 33% more power than the Wolf King, it is also more smoother and simpler to drive. A 25% bigger battery and increased water resistance are also included.

With self-sealing tires, LG 21700 battery cells, and a stunning, brilliant center display, it is not only the quickest production scooter in the world but also on a new level for build quality.

The King GT is hoped to be an indication of things to come.

Rion RE90

$6,800

Top Speed: 121 kmh | 1/16th mile: N/A | 0 – 30 mph: N/A

#1 Rion RE90

True racing machines are so perfectly honed that if you take away any one component, they will stop working.

The Rion RE90 definitely meets this criteria. Being so pure, it doesn’t even have a kickstand (just like all racing motorcycles). Its title as the fastest scooter in the world is well deserved. It is a scooter of uncompromising design and “money is no object” manufacturing.

NOTE: Alien Rides measures speed as a function of distance and time.
